“Oh we’re talking teams?” — Drake
Team Building
Team building is one of those corporate-speak words that has gotten a bit muddied in my opinion. Your team doesn’t need to complete a ropes course to feel more connected. And a happy hour won’t help shake things up or break normal social behaviors. A well designed team building exercise will teach you as much about how you do your work as it teaches you about who you’re working with.As a trained facilitator, I can lead virtual and in person team building and ice breaking exercises to help your teams get energized, think outside the box, and embrace creativity.
Where do you fit into the story?
This is a sample team building exercise I led with a food and nutrition focused non-profit, to introduce board and staff members to one another, in addition to reviewing the history of the organization.
What can you learn about yourself from someone else?
Personal assessments are a great tool for personal/professional development, and to help bring teams together. This example is of a session I led of a small group of female marketing professionals who wanted to deepen their professional development as a team.
